Summer Smoothies ☀💚

So now that school and exams are almost over, I´m finally going to have time to write a lot more often.

Today I´m going to be sharing with you some of my everyday quick and easy summer smoothies! Smoothies are great especially for hot summer days, not only are they fresh and tasty but they are also healthy and easy to make. I´m obsessed with smoothies now everything that´s a fruit or vegetable I try and make into a smoothie. All these drinks take between 5-10 minutes to make.

Here are a few of my favourites and feel free to add in any extras bits that you like!

1. Spinach, Banana and Honey - Take a handful of spinach as much as you like but be careful not to take too much or it might be quite bitter. Add 1 banana and 2 tablespoons of honey. Add around 2 cups of water so it´s not so thick. Then blend it and place it in the fridge for a good 10 minutes and it´s ready to drink!

2. Tutti Frutti Veggie - Again take a handful of spinach, then chop up 2 medium sized carrots; add 1 orange; add 2 cups of soy milk or ordinary milk if you prefer. The soymilk is sweeter which will balance out perfectly with the bitterness of the spinach, so if you choose to use ordinary milk you might have to add more honey to compensate. Add 2 cups of water. Then blend all those together and if you still think it´s too bitter then add around 2/3 tablespoons of honey. Finally before it´s ready to serve you can add some ice and blend that in or you can simply place it in the fridge for 10 minutes.

3. Banana, Orange and Pineapple- This is probably the most caloric smoothie of the three but it´s still really healthy and low on calories and it´s perfect to drink at the beach or by the pool. Take 1 banana and 2 oranges and chop those up, then add 2 cups of water and as many pineapple bits as you want. The more you add of one fruit the more dominant the flavour of that fruit will be so it all depends on what you like. Then place them all in your blender, put some ice in to keep it nice and cold then blend and enjoy!

You can drink these at anytime of the day, at least I do, before going surfing or with my lunch or dinner. Every single one of these is low on calories but high on vitamins and protein. Mix your fruits and vegetables to make the most appetizing and colourful drinks. Smoothies are life. Adios Amigos
